Seen

The Canadian goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) is in full bloom:

I featured one of the goldenrod that had gone to seed (and from which the one in this photo originated) in a “Daily Log” posting for 27 November 2021. After stewarding such hand-offs from one growing season over the years, I like how the goldenrod has established itself in several yard and garden areas. Nature is the BEST!

Done

Spent more time than I had planned prepping workflows, bookmarks, and logins on the iPad for iOS 16 and the iMac for Ventura. This included switching from Brave browsers on both back to Safari. Apple claims new security and privacy features along with productivity improvements will be a hallmark in these upgrades, so I’m giving them the chance to make good on the hype.

Processed well over thirty bookmarks saved by Bill Fulkerson. What he finds is like magic in how it aligns with my writing and research: supportive, provocative, and inspirational—a perfect combination!

Enjoyed a LONG phone call with my daughter. So bright, so insightful, so humorous, yet so serious— all wrapped up in one incredible human. But then again, don’t all fathers think that about their daughters most of the time?

Praise be to God! We are living in a century of light. Praise be to God! We are upon earth in the day of divine effulgence. Praise be to God! We are alive in this time of the manifestation of divine love. Praise be to God that we live in the day of the outpouring of heavenly bounty. Praise be to God! This is a day wherein the lights and splendors have awakened progress throughout the East and the West. Many holy souls in former times longed to witness this century, lamenting night and day, yearning to be upon the earth in this cycle; but our presence and privilege is the beneficent gift of the Lord. In His divine mercy and absolute virtue He has bestowed this upon us, even as Christ declared, “Many are called but few are chosen.” Verily, God has chosen you for His love and knowledge; God has chosen you for the worthy service of unifying mankind; God has chosen you for the purpose of investigating reality and promulgating international peace; God has chosen you for the progress and development of humanity, for spreading and proclaiming true education, for the expression of love toward your fellow creatures and the removal of prejudice; God has chosen you to blend together human hearts and give light to the human world. The doors of His generosity are wide, wide open to us; but we must be attentive, alert and mindful, occupied with service to all mankind, appreciating the bestowals of God and ever conforming to His will. 1
