We have had over 4 inches of rain over the past 3-4 days. Enough so that today was the day for easy pulling volunteer plants I didn’t want growing where they started. Among them was an abundance of Mexican tea (Dysphania ambrosioides) which seemed to spring up as a forest of 1-2 foot-tall greenery over the past 2-3 weeks.

This is a new-to-me plant but the photos of it suggest that its blooms are not particularly attractive to look at nor for pollinators or as winter food. I will agree with those descriptions about its pungent odor. I guess if I was really adventuresome, I’d try it on food or to make tea, but …

I developed a reference table for the 30 December 2021 message to the Conference of the Continental Boards of Counsellors by the Universal House of Justice, which can be read in its entirety on Frameworks for Understanding the World or the Bahá’í Reference Library.

I also posted a complete version, albeit piecemeal as paragraphs, through a series of entries to “Daily Log” during February and March. I used this version to inform the development of a framework for Global Conferences conducted during the first half of 2022. My posting to “Daily Log” for April 2nd shows the framework as it initially came together.

My goal now is to transfer it to Frameworks for Understanding the World so it can be used to promote the development of community innovation / investment portfolios as I mentioned in my “Daily Log” for June 26th, and subsequent postings. Today’s table will come in handy when I do the transfer so I can account for all the references I made to the 30 December 2021 message, which was central to the design of the framework. Details, details, details…

Another cause of dissension and disagreement is the fact that religion has been pronounced at variance with science. Between scientists and the followers of religion there has always been controversy and strife for the reason that the latter have proclaimed religion superior in authority to science and considered scientific announcement opposed to the teachings of religion. Bahá’u’lláh declared that religion is in complete harmony with science and reason. If religious belief and doctrine is at variance with reason, it proceeds from the limited mind of man and not from God; therefore, it is unworthy of belief and not deserving of attention; the heart finds no rest in it, and real faith is impossible. How can man believe that which he knows to be opposed to reason? Is this possible? Can the heart accept that which reason denies? Reason is the first faculty of man, and the religion of God is in harmony with it. Bahá’u’lláh has removed this form of dissension and discord from among mankind and reconciled science with religion by revealing the pure teachings of the divine reality. This accomplishment is specialized to Him in this Day. 1
