Last winter, I threw a few field pumpkins (Cucurbita pepo) we had used as seasonal decorations into one of the raised beds. Now, several seedlings have emerged. Here’s one of them:

My experience with vine plants as squash, melon, and zucchini is that they attract all manner of harmful insects that will do them in before their fruit is ready to harvest unless they are chemically treated. But I’m ready to be pleasantly surprised ;-)

This slide overlays the “world conferences” (see 02 April 2022 post for more details) as a block of specific activities at the outset of 179 BE (see 24 May 2022 post for original diagram) that put into motion the Nine Year Plan.

Note that the world conferences focus on convening “forums and agendas” that catalyze “conversations that matter” among people who don’t often have the opportunity for such exchanges. These conversations will encourage participants and others with whom they collaborate to find “ways that work” and draw upon those successes with confidence to influence “changes that sustain” within governance institutions.

Look for follow-on reports this summer and fall about “experimentation and learning” activities underway as a result of world conference conversations and fulfilled commitments to action.
