OK, OK. Wow, was I ever wrong about the delicateness of the Mongolian bluebeard (Caryopteris mongholica) blooms. In my “Daily Log” for 24 July 2022 I announced they were goners:

We have several clumps of them in two different areas and they’re still going strong. The pollinators love them, too! In fact, if you look really hard you can see two of them — a honey bee and a bumble bee — working away…

Worked on setting up more features and onboarding members in the “Raising the Value of Learning” (RVL) Slack group we launched yesterday. Here’s more information about RVL on Mindhive and TimeBank Mahoning Watershed as described by Tony Budak. So far, the group has six channels: community commons; community rights; local food systems; timebanking; value flow exchange; and my personal favorite - learning how to communicate asynchronously in between Zoom calls. Or as I wrote to the convener of a totally different group who is struggling with a similar issue:

It’s a challenge for many to learn how to communicate / collaborate on these kinds of platforms, especially when they’re used to “teaming” in structured work environments where the behavioral expectations for communicating are more clearly defined–complete with consequences for not following protocols also in place ;-) It comes down to the goals of the group. If the deliverable gets packaged, presented, and published to an audience who takes it on there, that is a very different process than when the deliverable requires full participation by the audience to make it successful.

This weekend I’ll add one more channel for myself that has to do with time as a currency in a time-based economy. Here’s the way I framed it when corresponding with a colleague earlier today:

We’re just now cracking the nut on the significance of what the Bahá’í writings say about the potential of EACH AND EVERY human being on the planet and how it is our collective responsibility to see to it that EVERYONE has the opportunity to develop their unique capacities to the fullest in this lifetime.

The foundation of a time-based economy targets ONENESS as its overarching purpose and within it the organizing principles of unity, love and justice that define the system that ensues.

in reality, we have two economic systems — one, time-based, that provides basic needs for each and all, and the other one, monetary-based, that encourages those who want to strive for more to achieve their dreams. We know how to crank-up the latter, but not the former. Kind of like the bird trying to fly on one wing analogy.

My focus is on getting the time-based economy defined and operational so we can learn how to render service to humanity without harming so many along the way. I think that will consume whatever time the universe has allocated for me in the here and now!

Should be fun ;-)

The worlds of God are in perfect harmony and correspondence one with another. Each world in this limitless universe is, as it were, a mirror reflecting the history and nature of all the rest. The physical universe is, likewise, in perfect correspondence with the spiritual or divine realm. The world of matter is an outer expression or facsimile of the inner kingdom of spirit. The world of minds corresponds with the world of hearts. 1
