Today is the birthday of my longtime colleague and friend, Bill Fulkerson. Throughout a 20-year association, our yin and yang complementarity influenced many organization designs and systems change strategies based on the practical application of complex adaptive systems theory — most were successful, all were filled with valuable learning experiences. Our collaboration continues with daily postings to Greener Acres Value Network News, @GAValueNetwork on Twitter, and GAVNet Daily Post on Micro.blog with Bill doing the bulk of the content curation. Please check them to stay current with Bill’s ever-evolving interests and insights!

Although much of humanity may have lost track of God, God has not lost track of humanity. The role of Bahá’u’lláh, as God’s latest Messenger, is to bring God’s message to humanity once again to address the struggles and questions that trouble the world today. In this compilation, some extracts from the writings of Bahá’u’lláh are given along with some extracts from the writings and utterances of His son, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, whom Bahá’u’lláh appointed as His successor and the interpreter of His writings. The passages included here discuss the nature of God’s relationship to humanity and why He created us. They emphasize God’s love for humanity and how God shows this love to us. They discuss the spiritual reality of human beings the nature of the human soul, and the progress of the human soul in this world as well as hereafter. They mention the nature of this world, our beginning in it, and what we can hope to achieve and expect both in this world and the world beyond.

This book is for those who seek answers to the questions that philosophers, scholars, and religious teachers have pondered for ages. It gives a small sampling of the countless profound gems of wisdom available to those who delve into the scriptures of the Bahá’í Faith. The reader will find here a message of encouragement, hope, and a deeper understanding of who we are and why we are here. It is hoped that this healing message will not only provide solace and satisfaction for the reader who longs to find answers to some of life’s deepest, most fundamental questions but also will motivate those who seek such answers to dive into the vast ocean of Bahá’í scripture to see what other pearls of wisdom might be found there. 1
