Millions of people from diverse racial, social, cultural religious and ethnic backgrounds are united regarding the principles for international cooperation, which the Bahá’í Faith espouses, as a foundation for a viable New World Order. Among these are are such notable personalities, past and present, as Queen Marie of Romania, a granddaughter of Queen Victoria; His Highness Malietoa Tanumafili II, King of Western Samoa; the famous Swiss scientist and entomologist Dr. Auguste Forel; and world-renowned American jazz musician John Birks “Dizzy” Gillespie. Others who have paid tribute to the Faith include the great Russian writer Count Leo Tolstoy, the well-known English orientalist Professor Edward G. Browne; and the noted French diplomat and brilliant writer Comte de Gobineau.

The following pages include a brief selection from the teachings, writings, administration and history of the Bahá’í Faith, which has now spread to over two hundred and eighteen countries, islands and territories and has followers in over one hundred and sixteen thousand centers throughout the world.
