Done

Began the arduous task of aligning the thousands of files accumulated in Evernote over the past 12 years with ongoing writing projects in Ulysses destined for publication in WordPress and individual, often daily, postings—like this one—in Micro.blog.

As a first step, over the weekend I streamlined the process of fielding bookmarks received from colleagues, queuing them in Evernote notes, and loading them into daily postings on Greener Acres Value Network (GAVNet) on WordPress and announcements on Micro.blog.

Next, I will rename and restructure the categories on Micro.blog so I can more handily associate content I’ve collected or developed at various times with current themes of interest.

My intent is to make these posts into a running log that covers what I’m thinking of, experimenting with, and learning about as the alignment task progresses.

Quoted

This compilation contains only some of the quotations found in the Bahá’í Writings on the subject of life after death, and by no means represents a complete listing of material from that source. Selections from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh and ‘Abdu’l-Bahá have been included to offer the reader a comprehensive view of the Bahá’í Teachings on a topic which is of great significance to those who are seeking after truth. 1

O SON OF THE SUPREME!

I have made death a messenger of joy to thee. Wherefore dost thou grieve? I made the light to shed on thee its splendor. Why dost thou veil thyself therefrom? 2

My sister and brother-in-law recently relocated and chose to donate several books in their library rather than move them. Many of these volumes are not well-known, but due to the topics they cover and the manner in which their authors explore them, they warrant a nod of recognition before being sent on their way. Accordingly, most quotes referenced in the “Quoted” section come from these books. Maybe they will stir (or renew) your interest, too.
