Slow day. Played with “Shortcuts” on Evernote, MindNode and Ulysses. Maybe something substantive will come of it … and maybe not.

Introduction

It is suggested that a Christian commencing to read this ‘Tablet To The Christians’, will find it helpful to recall that his or her own religious background probably has been more influenced by New Testament Writings as a whole, than by the Gospels alone. It is fair to observe that much of Christian theology and dogma, as customarily preached by the churches today, emanates more from the words of Saint Paul and, to a lesser extent from those of Saint Peter, than from Christ’s own words as recorded in the Gospels.

The reader will find Bahá’u’lláh (knowing Himself to be the Returned Spirit of Truth), is reminding us of what Jesus said and of what people said about Jesus. And being fully aware of the fate of God’s Manifestations gone before Him, He says: “This is an Epistle from Our 1 presence unto him whom the veils of names have failed to keep back from God, the Creator of earth and heaven, …” 2 3

My sister and brother-in-law recently relocated and chose to donate several books in their library rather than move them. Many of these volumes are not well-known, but due to the topics they cover and the manner in which their authors explore them, they warrant a nod of recognition before being sent on their way. Accordingly, most quotes referenced in the “Quoted” section come from these books. Maybe they will stir (or renew) your interest, too.
